Tens of millions of Americans fall into a gray area where they don’t have access to regular legal services. Some live in “legal deserts,” where the shortage of attorneys drives prices up to an unaffordable range or makes legal counsel inaccessible. Others don’t financially qualify for legal aid but can’t afford an attorney for a legal matter. Seth Usifo Nwosu® Incorporated (SUN INC.) is an alternative legal service provider that helps fill this gap.
Seth Usifo Nwosu® is a federally registered trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO, Serial Number 97270086). More information can be found at the USPTO site here.
Seth and Dr. Cambria Nwosu feel like they’ve reached the top of the mountain. Several years after this power couple combined their “superpowers,” SUN INC has expanded to five states and internationally to offer low-cost, non-attorney legal services and legal nurse consulting. They help individuals and businesses that fall into that gray area, in addition to legal firms and government agencies. The company also assists with legal and administrative matters that might not require an attorney.
SUN INC is now a go-to source for people who need help navigating the legal system when an attorney is unnecessary.
Like many small businesses that catch lightning in a bottle, the Nwosus didn’t plan for any of this. SUN INC, their individual career paths, and even their marriage all happened because of a series of happy life accidents. Not that they’re complaining.
Seth Nwosu’s entrepreneurial journey started early in life.
“My father is a chemist by profession and started a business around the time I was about six or seven,” he remembers.
The elder Nwosu sold women’s handbags and accessories in a flea market stall in St. Louis, MO. It was a biweekly market, and Seth helped his father set up the booth each time. Before long, he was learning how to manage inventory, counting change, taking customers’ driver license information for checks, and doing carbon swipes (there were no mobile credit cards in those days).
Seth later moved to New Jersey with his mother. After high school, he attended Essex County College in Newark. He initially majored in Biology, Pre-Med, ran for student government and was subsequently elected as a student senator. That opened a door that would later be life-changing for him, although he didn’t know it at the time.
As for Cambria, she was born in Hollywood, CA. Her family moved to Brooklyn, NY, when she was nine years old. She attended Science Skills Center High School and was once ranked as the top math student in the borough.
“I was a nerd,” Cambria admits. “I loved school.”
Cambria had never done public speaking, but when she was still a teenager, her high school principal nominated her to participate in a panel discussion on education in Washington, DC. It ended up being broadcast on C-SPAN.
“It's super embarrassing, but when I look back on it, I think, ‘Wow!’ I don't know that many people that could say, ‘Hey, I was actually on a panel in Washington DC that was broadcast internationally about education and the rights of people of color to actually have equal education.’”
Cambria attended Rutgers University for her undergraduate degree, majoring in Biology. Like Seth, she ran for student government and was elected. They were chosen by their respective schools to attend an ACUI student leadership conference at Princeton University in November 2022.
Neither one of them wanted to attend the conference.
Seth’s mother encouraged him to attend in order to expand his network. After one of his professors also pushed him to go, so he finally relented.
“I’ll give it a shot and go and see what happens”, Seth remembers thinking.
Cambria had laryngitis and wanted to skip the conference. Professors at Rutgers pressured her to attend, despite being sick.
“This sucks,” she remembers thinking. “I didn’t want to go. I ended up going and actually having a great time and learning a lot, but that’s exactly how I met Seth.”
That chance meeting led to the Nwosus’ eventual marriage and would later lead to the formation of SUN INC.
After meeting Cambria at ACUI, Seth transferred to Montclair State University (MSU) in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. During his first year there, he changed his major to Political Science/Pre-law and went on to graduate in August 2006.
SUN INC was founded in 2008, although it would be another decade before the couple combined their professional services.
In 2014, Seth attended Phoenix College, part of the Maricopa Community Colleges system, where he earned an ABA-approved Paralegal certificate. Following graduation, he became eligible to apply for national certification and took the NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) qualifying exam, becoming a Certified Paralegal in November 2015.
In March 2015, Seth began working at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. The following year, in February 2016, he joined Legal Aid, where he handled Social Security and consumer protection cases. Seth also performed legal work for the Arizona Department of Administration, and eventually for a private firm handling consumer protection cases.
From January 2019 through May 2021, Seth attended Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where he earned a Master of Legal Studies degree in Intellectual Property. During this program, he was granted the opportunity to study abroad at Monash University in Prato, Italy, where he focused on International Law and Transnational Litigation. Cambria and their son, Junior, traveled with him during this time, and together they visited Pisa, Rome (including the Vatican), Milan, and Monaco. The study abroad experience later led to an invitation for Seth to serve as an Independent Researcher at UNIDROIT in Rome.
Cambria completed a master’s in nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia, and a doctorate in nursing from the Chamberlain University College of Nursing. She worked in both the clinical and administrative side of nursing.
By 2018, Seth and Cambria were wondering how they could take their varied services—legal aid and nursing—direct to market.
“If we integrated our superpowers into a service line, what would that look like?”, said the couple reminiscing on their train of thought back then.
Today, SUN INC has grown to provide non-attorney legal services and legal nurse consulting in five US states and internationally. When someone can’t find a specialized attorney to help them with a legal matter, SUN INC is there to help.
The firm initially operated in New Jersey and Arizona, and SUN INC has now expanded to offer services in California, Nevada, and Florida. After studying abroad in Prado, Italy, Seth is also able to provide non-attorney legal services related to international law and transnational litigation.
With more than 20 million Americans falling somewhere in between traditional legal aid and full attorney representation, alternative legal service providers like SUN INC are one of the fastest-growing areas in the field of law today.
On the legal side, SUN INC offers litigation support for individuals, businesses, legal firms, and local, state, and federal agencies. This includes legal document preparation, such as demand letters, motions, subpoenas, and more. SUN INC’s certified paralegal services include legal research and case law analysis.
“You're helping folks navigate a landscape in which they know they need help,” explains Seth. “They know the end game. They know what they want to accomplish, but they just need a GPS on how to get there.”
While Seth doesn’t represent clients directly in court, he can make appearances on behalf of them in an administrative setting. For example, if a client has an employment case in front of the EEOC, or an administrative appeal with Social Security, he can represent them. So long as a case stays within the boundaries of the Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) rule, SUN INC can be an invaluable resource.
On the legal nurse consulting side of the business, Cambria provides clients with medical case review and analysis, risk management, and forensic consulting. These services are extremely valuable for law firms and individuals wondering if they have a valid wrongful death or medical negligence case, and whether to pursue it.
SUN INC also provides trial preparation and expert affidavits, including expert testimony, if a medical-related case moves forward.
“I can actually read a chart and tell if there's something missing,” notes Cambria. “That's a nuance that benefits law firms, insurance companies, even third-party vendors that do that kind of thing to ascertain if a case has merit or not.”
As of 2025, SUN INC has now helped its clients surpass $1 million in recoveries, settlements, and legal cost savings. The husband-and-wife duo’s combination of non-attorney legal services and legal nurse consulting is what sets SUN INC apart from similar alternative legal service organizations.
Cambria is thankful for Seth’s entrepreneurial spirit, because her pursuit of a doctorate never prepared her for running a multi-state organization.
“School did not prepare me [for business],” she notes.
This couple isn’t just building a business. They’re building a legacy. After their son, “Junior,” was born in 2016, life was suddenly about more than building out and expanding the firm. It was about building a future.
“I wouldn't be opposed if Junior found an interest in going to law school and converting this into an attorney firm once he comes of age, because he could take the keys and be the next generation,” says Seth.
In addition to running the firm, providing non-attorney services in the US and abroad, Seth is currently earning his PhD in Global Leadership and Change at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education Psychology. He’s published peer-reviewed papers through the American Bar Association as a non-attorney practitioner.
As for Cambria, she’s hoping to get more nurses interested and trained in legal nurse consulting, so the firm can offer expanded services to more clients.
“At the end of the day, we're parents and this is for our son. So, we get up, we work all day, we grind every day, we market every day for him,” she says. “We want our son to actually see what generational wealth looks like. And we want to make sure that he understands the power and position of making your own money, of being respectful, and also for advocating for others. If he doesn't learn that, then I definitely did not do my job.”
