“This topic is very near and dear to my heart because I have been providing sedation dentistry to my patients since 2005 and regularly perform two to three sedation visits each week. I am excited to speak with fellow dental professionals about oral conscious sedation and the importance of expanding access to care for patients who experience fear and anxiety related to dental treatment. My goal is to help spread awareness about ways dentists can create a more comfortable experience for patients who may otherwise avoid receiving the care they need,” said Dr. Andrea Joy Smith, DDS.
In addition to the lecture, the event will recognize graduating seniors from the student chapter of the Sacramento dental society and other dental students graduating this summer..
The meeting is scheduled to take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 28 at Maestro Coffee Shop in Sacramento.
