Mecum Auctions to Host Five-Day Glendale Event Featuring Approximately 2,000 Vehicles

WALWORTH, Wis., March 13, 2026 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Collector car auction company Mecum Auctions has announced it will return to Glendale, Arizona, for its annual auction event March 17–21 at State Farm Stadium.
Approximately 2,000 vehicles, including 10 private collections, are expected to cross the auction block during the five-day event. The auction will air live on ESPN+ from Thursday, March 19, through Saturday, March 21, and will stream live in its entirety on Mecum.com via the company’s Live Block Cam.
The Glendale auction follows the company’s recent Kissimmee event, which Mecum described as record-breaking.

Among the headline vehicles are two Shelby Cobras: a 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra Roadster and CSX3355, a 1966 Shelby 427. Also scheduled to cross the block is a supercharged 1968 Ford Mustang Custom Fastback featuring a panoramic roof and 200 miles since completion.
The event will also feature the Select Vehicles from the Petersen Automotive Museum collection, including early-1930s Ford Roadster Hot Rods.
Ten collections are slated for the Glendale auction. The Nevada Collection includes a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible and a 1969 Chevrolet El Camino. The Retro Garage Collection features vehicles such as a first-year Corvette, a one-of-12 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Bugazzi, and a 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS. The John Lemmons Collection spans prewar models through the 2000s, including a 1954 Mercury Monterey Sun Valley and a 1950 Ford Custom Deluxe Country Squire Wagon.
Additional vehicles include two Vesco land speed machines that competed at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The 1975 Don Vesco Silver Bird / Lightning Bolt Land Speed Motorcycle became the first motorcycle to exceed 300 miles per hour, while the 2013 Vesco Racing Turbinator II Streamliner was the first wheel-driven car to exceed 500 miles per hour, according to the company.
The family-friendly Adventure Zone will return during the event, offering activities for children.
