Signal Peak is led by Co-Founders and Managing Partners Lauren J. Harrison and Mani S. Walia. Both executives have experience managing over $500 million in institutional capital and have funded some of the largest legal judgments in the country.
Harrison has over 25 years of experience in the civil litigation and litigation finance sector. She previously served as a partner at Vinson & Elkins and Jones Walker and held an executive role at Law Finance Group. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Cornell Law School and clerked for judges on both the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Walia has over two decades of experience in trial law and funding. He previously founded the litigation finance group at Siltstone Capital and received the Texas Lawbook Legal Innovation Award in 2022. He is a graduate of the University of Texas and the University of Texas School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Texas Law Review. Walia clerked for judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Signal Peak’s management team includes Jackson Schaap as Vice President of Finance and Carly Thompson-Peters as Director of Operations, both formerly of Siltstone Capital. The company’s investment committee includes a retired federal district court judge, a litigation funding law professor, and the former head of Omni Bridgeway’s Houston office.
The company reports that it has secured more than $40 million in capital commitments ahead of launching its first funding strategy, with a final close target of $125 million. Hazoor Partners, an investor in Walia’s previous fund, has joined as an anchor investor.
