Before founding Simbian, Kumar co-founded and served as chief executive officer of Fortanix, a data security company where he helped establish the Confidential Computing category and raised more than $135 million in funding. His prior roles include Lead Designer for NVIDIA GPUs and Chief Architect at Cryptography Research Inc. Kumar holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Kanpur, where he graduated as a gold medalist, and an M.S. from Stanford University. He is listed as an inventor on more than 100 patents.
