LINCOLN, Neb., June 19, 2025 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Medical technology company Virtual Incision has announced the appointment of Jim Alecxih as Chief Executive Officer. Alecxih will oversee the company’s efforts to advance the development and commercialization of the MIRA Surgical System and its next-generation platform, M2.

Alecxih brings over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry, including a leadership role at Intuitive Surgical where he contributed to the growth of the da Vinci Surgical System. He has also served as CEO of DH Medical and held executive roles in several healthcare startups and growth-stage companies.

Virtual Incision is preparing for a series of FDA submissions for M2, a miniaturized, single-port surgical robotic system designed to reduce the cost and complexity associated with mainframe cart-based systems. The company aims to expand robotic-assisted surgery to more hospitals, including those in rural and underserved areas.
