Baxter Appoints Andrew Hider as Next Chief Executive Officer

DEERFIELD, Ill., July 7, 2025 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Healthcare company Baxter International Inc. has announced the appointment of Andrew Hider as its next president and chief executive officer. Hider will assume the position no later than September 3, 2025, pending completion of his current employment commitments. He will also join the company’s board of directors. Brent Shafer, who has been serving as chair and interim CEO since February 2025, will transition to the role of independent chair of the board.

Hider currently serves as CEO of ATS Corporation, a global provider of automation solutions across life sciences, food and beverage, transportation, consumer products, and energy sectors. During his tenure, ATS expanded its presence in high-growth markets and reported growth in adjusted revenue and EBITDA over a five-year period.
Prior to joining ATS in 2017, Hider was CEO of Taylor Made Group and held various leadership roles at Danaher Corporation, including president of Veeder-Root. He began his career at General Electric Co. in 2000, concluding as president and general manager of GE Tri-Remanufacturing. He is also a board member of Tennant Company.
