CARY, N.C., July 21, 2025 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Building products manufacturer Cornerstone Building Brands has announced the appointment of Gunner Smith as Chief Executive Officer, effective August 11, 2025.
According to the company, Smith was selected following a comprehensive search by the board of directors. He most recently served as President of Roofing at Owens Corning, overseeing a market-leading roofing business in the U.S. and Canada. Smith joined Owens Corning in 2008 and held several leadership roles in sales, marketing, and pricing prior to becoming president in 2018.
Smith began his career in sales management at Elk Corporation and later served as National Sales Manager at PlyGem, one of the two companies that merged to form Cornerstone Building Brands. He currently serves on the board of Howmet Aerospace and is a member of its Audit and Finance Committees.
