MINNEAPOLIS, August 16, 2025 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Salon franchise company Great Clips, Inc. has announced the appointment of Rob Goggins as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. Goggins will succeed current CEO Steve Hockett, who is set to retire at the end of 2025 following a 37-year tenure with the company.

Goggins currently serves as President of Great Clips, Inc., a role he has held for the past seven years. During his time in the position, he has overseen areas including business expansion, technology, legal, marketing, operations, and talent development. His leadership has included the integration of digital initiatives such as ReadyNext® text alerts and mobile app enhancements, which have reached over 25 million downloads. He also guided the implementation of new salon designs and virtual training tools for stylists.

Goggins previously served in multiple executive roles at the company, including Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Development, and Vice President of Development.

As CEO, Hockett oversaw 61 straight quarters of salon sales growth and built partnerships with organizations such as the NHL, College Football Playoff, and March Madness. He began as a Great Clips franchisee in 1988, held executive roles outside the company, and returned in 2008. He became CEO in 2018.

The company also announced the promotion of Kerry Bundy to Chief Legal Officer. Bundy had been Vice President of Legal, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. She will continue overseeing legal, franchise administration, and compliance and will now lead government relations for the brand. Bundy previously spent over two decades practicing law at Faegre Drinker.

Great Clips, Inc. was founded in 1982 and now has more than 4,400 franchised salons throughout the U.S. and Canada.
