LOS ANGELES, December 9, 2025 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Healthcare organization City of Hope announced that Chief Executive Officer Robert Stone has been named to Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare list and Becker’s Hospital Review’s 61 CEO Influencers to Know list.
Stone was recognized for leading City of Hope’s nationwide expansion, advancing clinical research programs, and developing a broader network of clinical trials designed to increase patient access across multiple regions.

Under Stone’s leadership, City of Hope has expanded beyond Los Angeles into Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix, and Orange County, California. The organization also launched a national clinical trials network aimed at making emerging therapies available more quickly and closer to patients’ home communities.
Stone’s leadership has included a focus on equitable access to cancer care, with support for initiatives such as the California Cancer Care Equity Act and the national Cancer Care Is Different coalition, both intended to improve access for vulnerable groups and Medicare Advantage patients.
His tenure has also included investments in workforce development, physician-scientist training, and retention programs for the organization’s 14,000 employees and 2,000 researchers and clinicians.
