G42 Advances Construction of Stargate UAE AI Infrastructure Cluster

ABU DHABI, October 16, 2025 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Technology holding company G42 has announced major progress in the construction of Stargate UAE, a 1-gigawatt artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure cluster being developed by Khazna Data Centers, a G42 company, within the 5GW UAE–U.S. AI Campus in Abu Dhabi.
The project, first introduced in May in collaboration with OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, Cisco, and SoftBank, is moving from design to construction under Khazna’s leadership. Work is currently focused on the initial 200-megawatt phase of the 1-gigawatt complex, with delivery expected in 2026.

In a recent press announcement, G42 stated that the project is progressing according to plan, with civil, structural, and architectural construction well advanced. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are nearing completion, and key modular components have entered production. Procurement for long-lead equipment has been finalized, and initial deliveries of mechanical systems have reached the site.
According to G42, the Stargate UAE facility is designed to strengthen the UAE’s national AI infrastructure and support its goal of developing an AI-enabled ecosystem. The project aligns with the company’s broader vision of creating an “Intelligence Grid” that advances the development of an AI-native society.
Khazna Data Centers, a G42 subsidiary specializing in hyperscale data infrastructure, is overseeing the build-out of Stargate UAE using a design-to-build approach. The company focuses on developing digital infrastructure with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability.
